About me
My name is Jennifer, I live in Chicago, and sewing has been a part of my life for over 30 years. I hold a degree in Fashion Design from Ball State University, where I first discovered the joy of helping others bring their creative ideas to life, while working in a fabric store.
After graduation, I began my career with a custom bridal and clothing manufacturer. There, I honed my skills in pattern drafting, garment construction, and the fine techniques that give clothing a polished, couture-level finish. I also learned the importance of efficiency, time management, and working one-on-one with clients to transform their vision into reality.
Five years later, I transitioned into a full-time career in styling while continuing to freelance for private clients, local designers, and fashion students. In 2015, I stepped back from sewing to explore new interests, including earning a health coaching certificate and launching a coaching practice.
By 2023, I felt called back to my creative roots. Sewing has always been my true passion, and returning to it has allowed me to combine my design background, styling expertise, and technical skill into the business I run today — a sewing, styling, and alterations studio dedicated to helping women and men look and feel their best.
Beyond my work, I have a wide range of interests — from botany and cycling to dancing, roller skating, climbing, and exploring subjects like psychology and history. These passions keep me inspired and continually fuel my creativity.
